The article is very interesting in exploration of different media and, more importantly, the economics and infrastructure around using them.
My main takeaway is: Continuously copy your content from one medium to the next. Don't let it sit in one old medium too long. Don't let there be too few copies in flight. Upon every copy, perform error detection and correction.
